§ 1.01.040. SEVERABILITY.

It is the intent of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of both this chapter and the code adopted by this chapter be, and they are, severable and should any such section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase be declared unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by the valid judgment or decree of a court of competent jurisdiction, the unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs or sections of this chapter or of the code adopted by this chapter.
