It is the duty of the Police Department to enforce the provisions of this chapter, together with the statutes and regulations of the state, applicable to watercraft and persons within all waterways within the corporate limits of the city, to issue summons, complaints and/or to make arrests for violations, to investigate accidents involving watercraft, to assist in the development of ways and means to improve watercraft traffic conditions and to perform such other duties as are imposed by this chapter.
