§ 9.20.010. DEFINITIONS.

  • As used in this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings, unless context clearly requires to the contrary.
    A. SPECIAL EVENT. Any organized, scheduled activity or event taking place upon publicly owned property within the corporate limits of the city which event either interferes with the normal or customary use of the property or inhibits or interferes with the use of the property by the general public, including city sponsored events and/or programs, parades, and motorcades.
    B. PARADE. A special event that includes any march or procession consisting of people, animals, and/or vehicles, except funeral processions, upon any public street, sidewalk, or alley, which does not comply with normal and usual traffic regulations and controls.
    C. MOTORCADE. A special event that includes any organized procession containing 25 or more vehicles, except funeral processions, upon any public street, sidewalk, or alley.
